Noord-Brabant grid status

Brainport and wider Brabant show regional headroom (green or yellow on the official capacity-map colour scale) in 3 of 7 studied service areas, with the transmission layer structurally full; from 1 July 2026 a new shared priority queue governs who connects next, and TenneT has released 264 MW of feed-in capacity in West Brabant, Eindhoven and Tilburg (with more to come at Geertruidenberg) even as off-take room closes in other areas.

What is constrained: Off-take in most of Brainport: only 3 of 7 studied service areas (Best, Eindhoven Zuid and Maarheeze) are green or yellow, regional headroom, on the official capacity-map colour scale, and the TenneT transmission layer is structurally full, which keeps stations like Hapert red regardless of regional relief.

Still worth screening: Feed-in: TenneT released 264 MW of feed-in capacity across West Brabant, Eindhoven and Tilburg in April 2026, with a further 632 MW expected once the new Geertruidenberg station opens at the end of 2026. On the off-take side, 405 MW of additional capacity is planned via station Tilburg, expected 2027.

What changed: Since 1 July 2026, new and heavier connection requests in Enexis congestion zones enter one shared waiting list ordered by the ACM priority framework instead of first-come, first-served.

What to watch: Station Tilburg capacity expected 2027, the 200 MW Oosterhout battery expected operational 2027, and station Wijchen (between 2033 and 2036), which the Helmond area waits on.

This is the regional grid near the planned TenneT 380 kV station Tilburg (in progress, 2027), which adds 405 MW of transmission capacity per Issue #001's source-lock.
